Exciting News

Neil and I have some super exciting news…We are getting married…in Alaska!

It was a regular day and Neil and I were out at the family farm tending to the animals.  We took a ride on the Ranger over to our side of the property and walked around, excitedly talking about all our future plans.

We stopped by the little stream at the back of our property and Neil asked me to be his wife.  The quiet stirring of the woods and the peaceful trickle of the stream were the only sounds to be heard in that most important moment.

I was definitely surprised! I love that he chose the site of our future forever house to start this new chapter in our life.

We have decided to get married, just the two of us, in Juneau, Alaska.  In early June (Juneau in June-it has a nice ring to it don’t you think?) we are flying to beautiful Juneau and spending the week fishing, hiking, and joining our lives forever.  We are getting married at Skater’s Pond near the lovely little bed and breakfast we are staying in.

Our hearts are so full of joy at the coming adventures next year holds for us.  We are so grateful to all of the love we received on facebook after our big announcement, we appreciate your words and well wishes so very much.

Until next time…

      • Anchorage, Wasilla, Eagle River, Seward (boat through a fjord)…we didn’t follow a strict schedule. We just went where we felt led each day! We were there in October so some of the roads were already closed due to snow/ice. We stayed at a B&B in Wasilla and enjoyed that town. (The mayor of Wasilla at that time was Sarah Palin, of course we didn’t know who she was then). If we ever go back, we want to fish, possibly hunt and go to Denali. Hope y’all have a great time!

      • Oh…and we panned for gold a little too. I think that was at Hatchers Pass. Wasilla, I think, had an Iditarod museum. This was in 1997

  1. Congratulations and God bless you always with His guidance, protection and grace to love each other all of your days. ❤
